Wizkid has made history by being the first African musician to win four separate music certifications in the United States.

The research firm Africa Facts Zone originally reported the news on Twitter, detailing the songs that earned him the new speak status.

Wizkid’s collaboration with Tems, Essence; Come Closer featuring Drake, Beyonce’s Brown Skin Girl, and Drake’s One Dance Come Closer, according to AFZ, were the tracks that enabled the global record to be broken.

The CEO of Starboy Entertainment purportedly holds a similar role in the United Kingdom, where he has eleven music certifications.

According to a tweet from @AfricaFactsZone, Wizkid is the first African musician to receive four certifications in the United States.
