An Oyibo woman has taken to the internet to give a helpful tip to foreigners who may be solicited by internet fraudsters known as Yahoo Boys.
She claimed in a video she shared on social media that there is a crucial term that foreigners who are scam victims might use to scare off Yahoo Boys.
According to the elderly woman, she is speaking from personal experience, since the Yahoo Boys had previously attempted to defraud her.
When conversing with someone they feel is a fraudster, the woman claimed they can use the Yoruba language “Alaye” to give the appearance that they are chatting with another scammer acting like a white person.
