Mercy Aigbe, a Nollywood actress, is definitely overjoyed since Michelle, the first fruit of her womb, turned a year older today, Monday, July 11.
The newlywed mother of two uploaded a snapshot of her daughter, who turned 21, on her verified Instagram profile and showered her with motherly prayers.
“Look who turned 21 today!!!!” she wrote. My hunny bunny, my chocolata, my caramel topping, the apple of my eyes, my sweetheart, my angel, the first fruit of my womb, I didn’t push you out by this time 21 years ago, my big baby, the best gift from God to me, my jewel, the best daughter ever, my smart, very intelligent daughter, my source of strength, my world, my everything.
In Jesus’ powerful name, you will continue to be the head in whatever you do, the Lord will benefit you beyond measure, you will develop from glory to glory, the Lord will lead and protect you, no harm shall befall you, you will thrive and be successful even above my expectations! “I adore you, princess.”
Remember how Mercy Aigbe explained her public spat with Omolara Olukotun, a Lagos-based businesswoman known as Larrit, a few weeks ago?
Aigbe claimed that Larrit had criticized her on social media multiple times despite the fact that she had previously patronized her business and vice versa.
The alleged altercation occurred on Sunday at a star-studded gala attended by Nollywood actresses such as Eniola Ajao, Bimbo Thomas, and Iyabo Ojo.
Aigbe and Larrit were seen arguing in footage that circulated on the Internet, which escalated after the businesswoman threw a bottle at the actress.
Police officers eventually pulled Aigbe out of the event amid the mob.
She described what happened at the event in an Instagram story post on Monday.
“I was there to celebrate a friend’s store launch (@rhemmygold). “One of the guests was Larrit,” Aigbe explained.
“For reasons best known to her, this woman slanders me online at every opportunity.” She’s done a lot of live videos and posts about it. I tried to contact her to find out what was wrong, but she chose to ignore me.
“Lara and I know each other. I have supported her business, and she has reciprocated. So I was astonished and perplexed by her rapid transformation into an adversary. I messaged her on WhatsApp and called a few others close to her to try to figure out why she decided to become an adversary, but all efforts were futile.”
