Robert Lewandowski, a striker for Bayern Munich, is pushing for a summer departure.

He said in an interview with Onet Sport that the Bundesliga club did not listen to him until the very end, and that “something died inside me” as a result.

Lewandowski has been heavily linked with Barcelona, with Chelsea and Manchester United also showing interest.

“I just want to leave Bayern,” the 33-year-old remarked. Work is less important than loyalty and respect. The greatest thing to do is work together to find a solution. They refused to listen to me until the very end. Something inside of me died, and it’s impossible for me to get over that. You can’t make up for it, even if you want to appear professional.

“I was always ready, available, and despite injuries and discomfort, I gave my all for so many years at the club.” Finding a good solution for both parties, I believe, is the best course of action. Also, don’t expect a one-sided decision.

“I’m not seeking for a one-sided answer; it makes no sense, especially after so long time, such a successful era, and with my will and support.”

“What sort of player would want to go to Bayern knowing that this may happen to them?” So, where is the loyalty and respect? I’ve always been prepared; I’ve spent eight pleasant years here, meeting beautiful people, and I’d like to keep it that way in my mind.”
