Reekado Banks, whose real name is Ayoleyi Hanniel Solomon, is a Nigerian composer, vocalist, and musician who was born on December 6, 1993. He is currently signed to Mavin Records.
He went by the stage name Spicy before signing a record deal with the previously mentioned label.
Reekado Banks was named Rookie of the Year at The Headies 2014, and he received the dubious Next Rated Artist award at The Headies 2015.
On September 1, 2016, his presentation studio compilation, Spotlight, was published. It debuted at number 10 on the Billboard World Album Music Chart.
Reekado Banks is the eldest son in a musical family. His father is a state minister in Ondo, while his mother works as a chef.
His older brother is a producer as well, while his older sister is a gospel vocalist. He grew up in a rigorous household because both of his parents were preachers.
At the age of 14, he graduated from high school and began recording his first tune arrangement in 2008.
His older brother sang the majority of his prior compositions and taught him the fundamentals of singing, composing, and production.
He came up with the stage name Reekado Banks by mixing the meanings of the two names; the first half of his stage name indicates “firm ruler,” while the last portion freely conveys “riches.”
Reekado Banks earned a bachelor’s degree in history and strategic studies from the University of Lagos in 2014.
Don Jazzy, 2face Idibia, DJ Jimmy Jatt, Olamide, and M.I have all been cited as melodic influences for him. Reekado Bank’s Songs, Videos, and Albums may be found below!
