Zinedine Zidane has emerged as the frontrunner to succeed Mauricio Pochettino as manager of Paris Saint-Germain.
According to Goal, talks between the former Real Madrid manager and PSG have reached an impasse.
Mauricio Pochettino, after winning the Ligue 1 title this season, will be fired at the Parc des Princes after a disastrous showing in the UEFA Champions League.
Zidane has long been associated with the job, but a purported lucrative offer has pushed him closer to it.
Since his second exit from Santiago Bernabeu in 2021, the Frenchman has been out of club management.
Between 2016 and 2018, Zidane was in command of Los Blancos and won LaLiga in his debut season, as well as a hat-trick of Champions League finals.
PSG is more interested in his European pedigree than anything else.
