This weekend there will be no Premier League games.

“We and our clubs want to pay tribute to Her Majesty’s long and unwavering service to our country,” Premier League Chief Executive Richard Masters said in a statement.

“She is an inspiration and leaves a beautiful legacy after a life of service as our longest-serving queen.”

“This is a deeply sad time not only for the country, but also for the millions of people throughout the world who admired her, and we all mourn her passing.”
