Pastor Tunde Bakare receives no votes in the APC presidential primary despite boasting of becoming the 16th President

In the recently concluded All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential primaries, Pastor Tunde Bakare of The Citadel Global Community Church received 0 votes.

The senior pastor did not bother to fly around for talks with party leaders or national delegates in their states after spending N100 million on the APC nomination and expression of interest form.

Bakare, on the other hand, has pledged to win the ruling party’s presidential primary in 2022 and become Nigeria’s 16th president.

God has promised to make him President Buhari’s successor, according to the priest.

However, the erstwhile Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) vice presidential candidate failed to receive even a single vote during the APC primaries held at Eagles Square in Abuja on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the former Governor of Lagos State and the APC’s National Leader, won the primary poll.

Tinubu received 1070 votes to defeat Chibuike Amaechi, a former Minister of Transportation, who received 238 votes. Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, the vice president, finished third with 177 votes.

Others include:

102 Ahmed Lawal

Yahaya Bello is 25 years old.

Dave Umahi is a 20-year-old man from Hawaii.

21-year-old Ben Ayade

3 Ahmed Sani

8 Void Votes

“I respect every aspirant here, even Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” Bakare remarked at the national convention on Tuesday night.

“However, I am not resigning for anyone.”

“By the grace of God, I am here to run for President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as the 16th president.”
