Bayern Munich has made an approach to Napoli for Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen.

The Bavarian is on the lookout for a new striker, as top scorer Robert Lewandowski is expected to leave this summer.

Lewandowski, who has one year left on his contract, has informed the club that he wants to embark on a new adventure, with Barcelona being his top choice.

To replace the 33-year-old, the Bundesliga champions are exploring a variety of top candidates.

Bayern officials have reportedly approached Napoli to inquire about Osimhen and the feasibility of a possible transfer, according to Corriere Dello Sport in Italy.

To recruit the former VFL Wolfsburg striker, any possible suitors would have to pay around €100 million.

Manchester United, Arsenal, and Newcastle United have all been connected with Osimhen in the Premier League.

In 27 Serie A appearances for Napoli in the 2021/22 season, the 23-year-old scored 14 goals and added three assists.
