Nottingham Forest, a new Premier League club, is looking into signing Nigerian forward Taiwo Awoniyi this summer.

According to multiple reports, Awoniyi wants to leave the Bundesliga club Union Berlin this summer for a Premier League club.

Nottingham Forest has already held talks with Union Berlin and has a €20 million release clause in his contract.

A number of other clubs have expressed interest in signing the striker.

Last season, the 24-year-old scored 15 goals in 31 games for Union Berlin across all competitions.

Awoniyi was previously on the books of Premier League giants Liverpool, but he did not make a single appearance for the Reds before joining Union Berlin on a permanent basis last summer.
