Hon Biodun Oyebanji, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in the ongoing gubernatorial election in Ekiti State, has stated that he is confident of winning the hotly contested election.

Oyebanji spoke in Ikogosi Ekiti, Ekiti West Local Government Area, Ekiti State, after voting in the town’s Okelele ward 06 unit 003.

He was accompanied to the unit by his wife, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji.

He praised the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for making the electoral process faster and more credible by introducing the Bimodal Voter Authentication System technology.

He praised the voters for turning out in large numbers to vote, claiming that there was no apathy based on the reports he had received from across the 177 wards.

“This is an improvement, and I believe I will win.” I’m relieved that there was no apathy. The security buildup has also been impressive, indicating that the process has been satisfactory.

“I am coming with a change agenda, and my manifesto outlines the changes I intend to bring,” he said.
