Nicki Minaj, an American singer, was caught on tape on Monday, May 2 threatening to smack a reporter for allegedly leaking details about her MET Gala attendance.
The 2022 Met Gala was held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, and it attracted a large number of celebrities to the celebrity-themed fundraiser fashion event.
The Trinidad and Tobago-born musician looked stunning in a black gown with dots all over her body and face, as well as an unusual baseball cap-style headpiece. Minaj spotted a reporter that she felt she had to address while on the red carpet.
The reporter, she alleged, released information about her plans to attend the exhibition.
“Hey you,” Minaj can be heard saying in the video. Are you the one who leaked the fact that I was going to be here?” Then, off-camera, a voice can be heard saying, “Me?”
“YES, YOU,” says the narrator. “IT WAS YOU,” MINAJ responds. I’M GETTING READY TO SLAP THE S*** OUT OF YOU. “COME IN.”
However, the video quickly ends, and it’s unclear whether the conversation became more heated.*
