Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, a fiery Enugu Catholic priest, has alleged that he played a key part in keeping Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, in the Anambra State government house during his (Obi’s) stint as governor.

Mbaka, the founder of Enugu’s Adoration Ministry, made the assertion during a sermon at the adoration field on Wednesday.

Obi, a former Governor of Anambra State who entered office on March 17, 2006, was impeached by the state House of Assembly after only seven months in office, according to SOLOLOADED.

Obi has claimed on multiple occasions that he was impeached by state legislators for refusing to mismanage the state’s funds.

However, Mbaka, who believes the LP candidate is stingy and would not succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023, claimed Obi did not reciprocate his gesture of assisting him in retaining the governorship position despite the impeachment.

“Obi is my pal,” he remarked. He knew the role I played in bringing him back when he was chased out of Government House, but how did he repay me?

“We went to night meetings to bring him back; ask him, ask Eselu Uga, ask Archbishop Anikwenwa; they know where we did it and how we did it, and he was brought back.”

“Ask Peter what he used to reward Adoration since then.” Tell Peter Obi to come and ask for forgiveness if you like him. Allow him to enter.
