Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, is expected to meet with the party’s governors.
The goal of the gathering is to finalize plans for Atiku’s running mate ahead of the 2023 elections.
The meeting was announced by the PDP Governors Forum Secretariat, which was signed by CID Maduagbanam, the Director-General of the PDP GF.
The meeting was scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. in the Legacy House in Abuja, according to the notice.
Since becoming the PDP’s presidential candidate, Atiku has yet to choose his running mate.
Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State and Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has been mentioned as prospective contenders to be chosen.
