Ridiculous Prophet Odumeje, an Anambra-based preacher, has denied accusations that his church, Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention and Deliverance Ministry, was demolished.

It was previously reported that the Anambra State Government (ANSG) task team demolished the church on Bida Road, Fegge, Onitsha, Anambra State, on Thursday, July 7, and a video recording the moment the edifice was pulled down was published online.

The demolition was also verified by Anambra State Governor Soludo in a statement issued on his behalf by his Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime.

According to reports, the church and other structures were removed because they were built on Fegge rivers.

According to the statement,

“Following the expiration of a more than two-week notice served on developers and building owners who built many illegal constructions along the waterway in Fegge and surrounds within Onitsha commencing in April 2022, the Anambra state government has began demolition of such structures.”

The exercise, which is being conducted out by a joint government task team, began on Bida Road near Modebe Avenue in Fegge Onitsha.

Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention Deliverance Ministries, stores, and other boundary fences are among those affected. Since April 20, 2022, the structures have been tagged, and all developers and building owners have been served with notices to dismantle such illegal buildings.”

However, the clergyman has now come forward to deny that his church was demolished, calling the accusations “false news.”

According to him, the security house near the church, not his church edifice, was demolished.

According to a post on the church’s official Facebook page,

“No Fear, Lion Family: Prophet Odumeje’s Church Was Never Demolished.” Only the Security/Store building is located next to the Drainage System. What does it benefit you to promote false rumors?”
