Chelsea has signed Sevilla defender Jules Kounde to a five-year contract ahead of a possible transfer.
According to Sport, Kounde has agreed to a five-year contract with Chelsea, although a sum has not been agreed upon with Sevilla.
Sevilla is reportedly refusing to pay £56 million for Kounde.
Last summer, Chelsea was extensively connected with the 23-year-old, but their approach failed to persuade Sevilla to sell.
Kounde is alleged to be enraged with Sevilla for rejecting his transfer request to the Premier League heavyweights.
With a number of elite clubs interested in signing the Frenchman this summer, he may finally get his move away from Sevilla.
Barcelona is also rumored to be interested in Kounde.
Sevilla is looking for a cost of around £56 million, although the Catalan club believes a fee of £51.6 million is possible.
Barcelona would have to persuade Kounde to take half of what Thomas Tuchel’s side is offering in order to beat Chelsea to his signature.
