The attack on St Francis Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo State, was possibly a drug war, according to controversial journalist Kemi Olunloyo.
She formed her judgment based on the fact that the church’s priests were safe and that no one was kidnapped by the terrorists who slaughtered a large number of congregants.
The attack, she claims, was similar to one that occurred in Ozubulu, Anambra State.
“MY OPINION: #ONDOMASSACRE IS POSSIBLY A DRUG WAR,” KEMI OLUNLOYO tweeted. OZUBULU, ANAMBRA STATE, AUGUST 6TH 2017. MANY SIMILARITIES WITH OZUBULU, ANAMBRA STATE, AUGUST 6TH 2017. NO ONE HAS BEEN KIDNAPPED. PRIESTS ARE SAID TO BE SAFE AT ALL TIMES. THE CATHOLIC CHURCH WAS KILLED BY THE CONGREGATION. MARIJUANA CULTIVATION HAS ITS HEADQUARTERS IN ONDO STATE. REMEMBER TO BE SAFE! #ONDOSTATE.”
