Eedris Abdulkareem, a renowned Nigerian musician, has come out for the first time since news of his deteriorating health leaked.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, July 6, the legendary singer’s management stated that he was recently diagnosed with kidney failure and has been undergoing dialysis in a Lagos hospital.

His management urged Nigerians to pray and give their best wishes to the musician.

Eedris, on the other hand, told his supporters that he is well in a video he posted on his Instagram page on Thursday, July 7.

He posted a video of himself receiving dialysis in a hospital bed and thanked his fans for their prayers, love, and support thus far.

“Hello, my name is Eedris Abdulkareem. I want to thank you everybody for your prayers and support, and I want you to know that I will survive this. Thank you for your love and support; I truly appreciate and love you all. Today I am having dialysis, which takes 3 to 4 hours. After dialysis, I continue with my everyday activities, but I am strong in body, spirit, and soul. Thank you, and please know that your prayers have been heard.” He state.
