Omoni Oboli, a great actress and director, has encouraged Nigerian millennials and those who look up to her that if they work hard enough, they can achieve their goals.
The mother of three claimed on her Instagram page that she would not have gotten this far and become a household name in Nigerian entertainment if it weren’t for a silver spoon.
Her statement was in reaction to someone telling her that she didn’t need to work as hard because she was already well-known around the world.
Omoni Oboli captioned a photo slide of herself on duty as follows:
“SOMEONE SAID I’M ALREADY MADE SO WHY WORK SO HARD…I SAY, I’M WORKING TO LEAVE A LEGACY FOR MY KIDS AND OTHER YOUNG PEOPLE ESPECIALLY OF AFRICAN DECENT. IF A GIRL LIKE ME WHO WASN’T BORN WITH A SILVER SPOON CAN SUCCEED GLOBALLY, EVERYONE CAN! WE ARE NOT HERE TO LOOK PRETTY.”
