Dean Saunders, a former Liverpool legend, believes Tottenham will fight Manchester City and Liverpool for the Premier League title and other domestic trophies next season.
He hailed Tottenham manager Antonio Conte as a tenacious manager who wants to win trophies and is bringing in the proper players to assist him to do so.
Antonio Conte has already added Yves Bissouma, Ivan Perisic, and Fraser Forster to his roster.
Chairman Daniel Levy and owner Joe Lewis gave the Italian £150 million to boost his squad ahead of the new season.
Spurs stole a top-four spot from rivals Arsenal at the close of last season, finishing 22 points behind title winners Manchester City and 21 points behind Liverpool.
And Saunders feels that with Conte in control, Tottenham might challenge those two.
According to Saunders, Tottenham manager Conte has started the ball moving since taking over.
Conte has already signed two good players in Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski, both of whom were brought in from Juventus in January, according to the former Wales international.
“They’ve got [Heung-Min] Son, [Harry] Kane, [Pierre-Emile] Hojbjerg, [Cristian] Romero, and [Djed] Spence is a greater prospect than Emerson if they sign another world-class center-back,” he told talkSPORT.
“The management is unyielding. He doesn’t simply want to win something now; he doesn’t care whether he has a good club in four years; he wants to win something now or he’s out.”
