Rochas Okorocha, a former governor and senator representing Imo West Senatorial District has spoken for the first time since the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election on Tuesday.

Some people were worried that the former governor of Imo State would leave the party if he didn’t get the ticket.

However, in a statement released to the media on Friday by the Special Adviser (Media), Sam Onwuemeodo, Okorocha expressed his support for Asiwaju as he runs for President of the APC in the 2023 election.

“I commend all those who participated in the APC party’s presidential primary,” Okorocha remarked.

“I congratulate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu on his victory in the All Progressives Congress, APC, Presidential Primary poll,” Okorocha remarked.

As previously reported by SOLOLOADED, almost 2,000 accredited delegates voted for the ruling party’s ticket bearer for the 2023 general election.

Despite a long legal struggle with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) alleged fraud, the former governor of Imo State appeared on the ballot.
