Frenkie De Jong, a Dutch midfielder, has agreed to join Manchester United from Barcelona this summer.
After previously stating his desire to remain at Nou Camp, the footballer gave his approval for his transfer.
As his countryman, Ten Haag, aims to rebuild a side that failed last season, the Netherlands international is now United’s No. 1 summer transfer target.
In order for the trade to take place, Barcelona is requesting £65 million.
Now that De Jong has agreed to leave Catalonia for Old Trafford, all that remains is for the Red Devils and his current employers to agree on a cost.
This summer, the Catalan club has to sell to assist stabilize the team’s shaky finances.
